Amy van Elkan, MD
Ashley Fontaine, RN
Ashley has been with Crestline Health and Wellness since its inception and plays an essential role in ensuring every patient’s experience is compassionate and safe. Ashley first met Dr. van Elkan in 2018 while working in interventional pain management and was inspired to join her in pioneering ketamine therapy in Birmingham.
A nurse since 2007, Ashley spent over a decade on the orthopedic floor at St. Vincent’s Hospital, where she advanced to floor supervisor and honed her clinical expertise and leadership skills. Her deep well of nursing knowledge and calm, reassuring presence make her an anchor for both patients and staff.
Outside of work, Ashley enjoys cheering on her son at football games and her daughter on the softball field, embodying the same warmth and dedication in her personal life that she brings to her nursing practice.
